SkyLaw Summer Update

This summer is off to a busy start and on behalf of the team at SkyLaw, we would like to announce two new exciting changes to our firm.

It is with great pleasure that we inform you that our very own Lisa Silver Slayter was called to the bar this month and is now an Associate at SkyLaw. Throughout the past year, Lisa has proven that she is an invaluable asset to our team and her tireless dedication has not gone unnoticed. Congratulations Lisa, we are very proud of you and all of your accomplishments.

We would also like to announce that Billy Rosemberg has once again joined our team as a Summer Law Student. This is Billy’s second summer term with us and we are thrilled to have him back.

Lisa Silver Slayter

Lisa graduated from law school at Dalhousie University where she received several awards including the Robert T. Donald Memorial Prize for highest mark in Corporate Transactions. After writing her Ontario bar exams, she began work as SkyLaw’s articling student, having previously summered here after her second year of law school. Lisa was called to the bar in June 2014.

Lisa is fully involved in the coordination of corporate transactions. She takes the lead on drafting the principal corporate agreements and works directly with our clients to get the deals done.

Billy Rosemberg

Billy has completed his first year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Billy graduated with distinction with an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business. During his time at Ivey, Billy served as the Vice President of Finance on his student council.

At law school, Billy participated in the PBSC-McCarthy Tétrault Public Interest Internship, where he worked with partners and associates of the firm on their pro bono files. Billy serves as a treasurer on the Students’ Law Society, he volunteers as a caseworker for Artists’ Legal Advice Services, and he is a representative of the Business Law Society. Billy has previous experience working as an associate at a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm. He is also fluent in Spanish.
